This Years' Theme: "1814-Ships, Boats & Buggies

1814 Commemoration Inc. returns with an in-person salute to the Champlain Valley's historic War of 1812 battle: The Battle of Plattsburgh.

A number of living history events, like re-enactments, ceremonies, 19th century kids games, live music, history talks, a parade, fireworks, and more will be open to the community.

Attendees can see 19th century trades, like blacksmithing, herbal medicine, candle making, in action; attend a fancy, period-dress ball; enjoy a kid-friendly day of hands-on crafts, face painting and farm animals; sip on a beer brewed specially for the Battle of Plattsburgh; take a guided walking tour to learn the history behind the city streets, and much, much more!
