By Provided November 14, 2021

It's  a bird, it's a plane, it's Superheroes Celebrate the Holidays! This  year the City of Plattsburgh is pleased to announce the 2021 Holiday  Parade Theme: Superheroes Celebrating the Holidays. Whether it's Batman  building a snowman, or Wonder Woman walking in a Winter's Wonderland, we  are expecting to see fantastical mashups of our favorite superheroes  doing festive things on Saturday December 4th, 2021 at 5:30PM.Over  the past 18 months, our community has come together in the face of  adversity and one local super hero that always rises to the challenge is  local journalist and Mountain Lake PBS anchor, Thom Hallock. We are  honored to announce that Thom will be serving as this year's parade  Grand Marshal and very own hometown superhero. The  pre-parade “warm-up” show will begin at 5:00PM and include a dance  performance by Nancy Langlois School of Dance and a family-friendly  hip-hop set performed by local group, Antwon Levee & Dust. The  parade will begin at 5:30 pm. It will travel down Brinkerhoff Street  making a turn onto Oak Street, to Court Street and traveling east on  Margaret Street where it will finish at the intersection of Margaret and  Broad Street. Immediately following the Parade will be a performance by  Center Stage Dance Studio and local acapella group, Fermata Nowhere. The  tree lighting will be held at the intersection of Margaret and  Brinkerhoff Streets, on the lawn of The Strand Center for the Arts,  followed by a showing of Home Alone in the newly completed Theatre at 25  Brinkerhoff.
